Tony Robbins turns to the topic that vexes us all: How to secure financial freedom for ourselves and for our families. If there were a Pulitzer Prize for investment books, this one would win, hands down (Forbes). Tony Robbins is one of the most revered writers and thinkers of our time. People from all over the world-from the disadvantaged to the well-heeled, from twenty-somethings to retirees-credit him for giving them the inspiration and the tools for transforming their lives. From diet and fitness, to business and leadership, to relationships and self-respect, Tony Robbins's books have changed people in profound and lasting ways. Now, for the first time, he has assembled an invaluable distillation of just about every good personal finance idea of the last forty years (The New York Times). Based on extensive research and interviews with some of the most legendary investors at work today (John Bogle, Warren Buffett, Paul Tudor Jones, Ray Dalio, Carl Icahn, and many others), Tony Robbins has created a 7-step blueprint for securing financial freedom. With advice about taking control of your financial decisions, to setting up a savings and investing plan, to destroying myths about what it takes to save and invest, to setting up a lifetime income plan, the book brims with advice and practices for making the financial game not only winnable-but providing financial freedom for the rest of your life. Put MONEY on your short list of new books to read...It's that good (Marketwatch.com). Editorial Reviews *12/15/2014 Self-help author Robbins (Awaken the Giant Within) delivers with a commanding book, his first in nearly two decades, designed to financially empower readers with a simple, seven-step roadmap. Distilling insights from the financial world's leading minds, Robbins explains the rules all investors need to know and shares the best strategies from those who have already mastered the money game. Ultimately, his goal is to help readers establish a guaranteed lifetime income stream. To that end, Robbins cuts through industry jargon, debunks widespread myths, and identifies investing pitfalls, such as hidden fees. He also discusses how to minimize drastic losses while increasing gains and how to stay on target in the long run. As an added bonus, he includes a chapter of Q&As with several financial luminaries, including Yale Chief Investment Officer David Swensen and Vanguard founder John C. Bogle. As with every area on which Robbins has given advice, commitment and follow-through are key. But after reading this book, readers will be armed with the essential tools they need to gain control of their financial future and chart a path to success. (Nov.) - Publishers Weekly In this book Tony masterfully weaves anecdote and expertise to simplify for readers the process of investing-priming their financial education and helping them effectively plan for their future. - Mary Callahan Erdoes I highly recommend you put ‘Money: Master the Game' on your short list of new books to read. Chances are, you'll be coming back to it again and again and pass your dog-eared copy on to your kids. It's that good. - Marketwatch.com In this book Tony Robbins brings his unique talent for making the complex simple as he distills the concepts of the best investors in the world into practical lessons that will benefit both nave investors and skilled professionals. - Ray Dalio Tony Robbins is a human locksmith-he knows how to open your mind to larger possibilities. Using his unique insights into human nature, he's found a way to simplify the strategies of the world's greatest investors and create a simple 7-step system that anyone can use on the path to the financial freedom they deserve. - Paul Tudor Jones A distillation of just about every good personal-finance idea of the last 40 years. Mr. Robbins passionately advocates diversification, buying index funds to keep investment expenses low and increasing the percentage you save every time you get a raise. - New York Times Mr. Robbins delves deep into the topic of money, touching on the psychology of wealth, what holds people back from achieving financial success - and some cures.... provides a hefty dose of the psychology and the science of personal achievement that Mr. Robbins is famous for. But at its core, the book distills a seven-step action plan that Main Street readers - from college graduates to pre-retirees - can use to build a better future for themselves and their families. - Pittsburgh Post-Gazette MONEY Master the Game will be a huge help to investors. Tony Robbins dropped by my office for a forty-minute appointment that lasted for four hours. It was the most provocative, probing interview of my long career, a reaction shared, I'm sure, by the other souls with strong investment values and sharp financial minds who populate this fine book. This book will enlighten you and reinforce your understanding of how to master the money game and, in the long run, earn you financial freedom. - John C. Bogle You can't meet Tony Robbins and listen to his words without being inspired to act. This book will give you the strategies to create financial freedom for yourself and your family. - T. Boone Pickens That rare gift that keeps on giving....Robbins has produced a book that will appeal to both the beginner and the most sophisticated money jockey overseeing multibillions of dollars in assets....If there were a Pulitzer Prize for investment books, this one would win, hands down. - Forbes.com 2014-10-20 Robbins owns his own island. Why don't you? It's just a small island paradise, mind you, but it doesn't hurt that Robbins has amassed a considerable chunk of change by building a life-coaching empire. Of course, there's a certain obnoxiousness attendant in telling an audience that you're rich, but the promise that the audience can be rich too has its own charms. Robbins seldom ceases to be rah-rah in his belief that if readers just suspend disbelief and follows the 7 Simple Steps in this book--the proprietary caps are his--then the big win can't be far behind. Obnoxiousness aside, the author is no slouch; for this book, he's interviewed and studied the portfolios of numerous billionaires (ordinary millionaires need not apply) to find out the secrets of their success, many of which fall into his own simple-step septet. It would steal Robbins' thunder to reveal them, but one bit of general counsel that makes good sense is offered by JP Morgan Chase investment whiz Mary Callahan Erdoes: You can never be out of balance in taking care of yourself as a person, taking care of your work as a professional, taking care of your family, taking care of your friends, your mind, your body. On the matter of balance, Robbins offers a seemingly counterintuitive dis-recommendation of the old balanced-portfolio mantra, which, he holds, can put the holder at unnecessary risk; that provocative advice alone is worth the cover price. Of course, the rules vary from billionaire to billionaire; they call to mind Somerset Maugham's witticism, There are only three rules for writing a novel. The trouble is, no one knows what they are. Still, Robbins' common-sensical, relentlessly positive, often highly specific advice is both useful and inspirational--which is just as advertised. Great airplane reading on the way to that private island and sure to occasion a few adjustments in one's portfolio. - Kirkus Reviews Self-affirmation guru and life coach Tony Robbins offers an unnecessarily lengthy discussion of a seven-step approach to securing financial freedom. He enthusiastically narrates the initial two chapters and then turns the mic over to Jeremy Bobb. As we hear research on the industry, we are encouraged to step behind the curtain associated with investment brokers and financial counselors who are in business under a myriad of titles. While Robbins's brief narration is energetic, Bobb offers an unvarying, merely adequate performance of the majority of the book. Apt metaphors do explain complex investment and trade jargon, but much time is expended on promising valuable information that turns out to be of marginal use. This repetitive audiobook may assist some in becoming more financially informed, but its narration and practical use offer no great returns. W.A.G. What does the Book Condition Very Good mean? Good? Fair?
See our descriptions of book descriptions here: book's conditions.
What does ffep stand for?
Front-facing endpaper - the first page of a book inside the cover. This page is typically blank. Often people will write their name on this page at the top, or a gift message - which is why you will see ‘owner’s name on ffep’ in some of our book descriptions.
What does dj stand for?
Dust Jacket - the outer paper wrapping on a hardback book. If we mention a book is ’No dj’ this means it should have a dust jacket but it is missing.
What is foxing?
Foxing is an age-related process of deterioration that causes spots and browning on old books. The causes of foxing are not well understood, but high humidity may contribute to to foxing.
Foxing - Wikipedia
What is tanning?
Age tanning, or browning, occurs over time on the pages of books. This process can show up on just the edges of pages, when this occurs it is sometimes referred to as "edge tanning." This kind of deterioration is commonly seen in books printed before the advent of acid-free paper in the 1980s.
r/BookCollecting - Is this mold or normal aging for a well used book?

Where do you get your books from?
We buy books from the public and also take donations. We travel regularly around the Wellington/Manawatu region, and will go further afield to collect larger quantities in our big van. We also like to go to book fairs and other charity events and buy books that catch our eye.
Are your photos of the actual books being sold?
It depends - we have sometimes used stock images for very common books but are in the process of photographing our entire inventory. This will take awhile to finish! If we have 10 copies of the Da Vinci code all in Very Good condition, we will just photograph one and use that to represent all 10 in stock. However if the next copy of worn and only in Fair condition, we will photograph that separately and create a new listing for it.
What is the most expensive book you have sold?
To date it was a first edition first printing copy of JRR Tolkien’s The Two Towers. It was in very poor condition but still was worth over NZ$1000.
What is your favourite book to sell?
I love seeing anything written by Stephen King - they just do not stay in our inventory for very long before someone spots it and buys it. And Alison Holst’s book on muffins will not stay in inventory very long either - too cheap at $7 maybe?
Why do you also sell mailing supplies?
We had a lot of trouble sourcing the right sort of bubble mailer to send our books out in, and eventually found a supplier of high quality mailers in China to import them from. We figured other sellers of small items in New Zealand might like to also use them.
Are you open to the public?
Unfortunately our books are all stored in a large warehouse in boxes so they are not easily browsable. The SKU number for a book tells us where to find it in the warehouse, but there is absolutely no order to where things are stored! We do allow pickups so if you find what you like online you can order it and drop in to pick up p, saving on shipping.
