Worse, the certitude in his reading and writing style is not supported by the reductive, often hackneyed insights he shares. He starts his audiobook with a long biographical segment and then unevenly elaborates on three recommendations: own your power to see clearly and make decisions, look at external reality honestly, and act in accordance with what you see in both realms. Though his co-narrator does an excellent job with his segments, Dalio's overbearing reading and his mechanical-sounding ideas will make getting through all 16 hours of this audio a heavy lift. T.W.
