There are lots of reasons to raise the dead-some private, some public. In this case, the feds have a witness who died before he could speak on the record. They want him raised so his testimony can be taken. So here I am, on a plane to Philadelphia, flying off to do my job. But I'm not alone. Micah is with me. Micah, head of the St. Louis wereleopard pard. King to my Queen. The only one of my lovers who can stir my blood with just a glance from his chartreuse cat's eyes. I was happy to have him at my side. Until he mentioned that this will be our first time alone together. No Master Vampire. No Alpha Werewolf. Just me and Micah. And all my fears and doubts . . .  Reviews  In A Stroke of Midnight, Meredith Gentry, P.I., appears in her role as Princess Meredith NicEssus, coheir to her aunt, the Queen of Air and Darkness. Meredith spends a frenetic 24 hours attempting to solve a murder while coupling obsessively in her effort to achieve pregnancy and become absolute heir to her aunt. The listener learns Merry is descended from five fertility goddesses, and each graphically described sex act brings life and magic back to Faerie, while granting powers to her partners. By the end, it is clear that Merry herself is approaching invincibility. Micah, a novella from the Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter\/Executioner series, brings Anita to Philadelphia. Another necromancer backs out of a job where he was to restore life and voice to a federal witness whose testimony is needed in a murder investigation. It's a short trip, so only a single lover, Micah, accompanies her. The zombie witness event goes horribly wrong, but the tryst with Micah is perfect. Graphic sex and a violent cemetery battle provide the elements Hamilton's listeners seem to appreciate most. This short work offers some character development and more plot than her previous novels. Listening to Rey Colette perform is a distinct pleasure; Laural Merlington does an equally fine job with Stroke of Midnight. These selections are recommended for collections that include erotica and where Hamilton is popular.-Janet Martin, FirstHealth of the Carolinas, Pinehurst, NC Copyright 2006 Reed Business Information.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Book Express","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":41829862178890,"sku":"1398ab","price":6.0,"currency_code":"NZD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0618\/9101\/8826\/files\/1398ab_cdf33c69-4782-4e92-b4a9-e26a8cafbf2d.jpg?v=1776055582","url":"https:\/\/www.bookexpress.nz\/products\/micah-by-laurell-k-hamilton-1398ab","provider":"Book Express","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
